CARE-AI Module 2 builds on our successful initial triage platform and has now evolved into a national collaborative initiative developed in partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
This phase applies multimodal machine-learning analysis 🤖 to predict surgical need in Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES) — a critical step towards improving early diagnosis and intervention. With data from over 1,500 patients already collected and several UK centres participating 🏥, collaborating sites are now asked to contribute anonymised radiological images and reports. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI-driven clinical research within a neurosurgical context 🧩.
